I Will Not Hurt Myself, I Will Not Hurt Others
2024, Hardbound Limited Edition of 100, 9×9″, 114 pages
From the introduction to I Will Not Hurt Myself/I Will Not Hurt Others:
“At the time of this writing, summer, 2023, my 53rd year, one that I romantically never thought I would land on, I find myself feeling the weight of being in a middle space, and one of balance. Possibly happy, certainly contented for maybe the first time in my life, and braced for what hell might come because change is inevitable. I am neither finished or unfinished.
Where are you going and where have you been…”
While this is a culmination of several years of work, I Will Not Hurt Myself/I Will Not Hurt Others is about being at a nexus point in life; the now as a center of balance where I can look back at past chaos and experiences that have brought me here and cast forward to a future with anger and uncertainty as well as hope.
The book consists of paired images, one straight image and one abstract image, divided by a translucent page of text; scraps of my poetry and rambling thoughts about the jangly, messy bits of life, family, holiness, men, death, nostalgia, suburbia, crows, dancing, anger, and my complicated relationship with being happy.

The Portland Gig: Band Photography in Portland, Oregon, 2003-2018
2023, Hardbound 12×12″, 60 pages,
ISBN: 9798211299627
I spent fifteen years photographing bands playing small venues in Portland, Oregon. The Portland Gig is a slice of a motley scene of mostly struggling bands and grungy clubs of the time; not encyclopedic, but made with affection for the musicians and their passion for making music.
