My Own Private Portland

The art photographers group that I am part of at Newspace Center for Photography has been working on a project for the past couple of months. The goal is to create ten postcards of our private (or not so private) view of Portland. So I sit here tonight editing to the sounds of The Prids and King Black Acid (what else?). Here’s what I’ve got so far. Some will be recognizable, but most haven’t been seen before. I will be weeding down from these, and if I can pull off a couple of stunts in the next week before the due date, the lineup will change. Let’s hear it for indecisiveness!

Looking over these, it doesn’t quite feel finished or perhaps not very balanced yet. One of the interesting things about editing is the psychology of subconscious choices. These make me seem overly fascinated by bicycles. And boobs.

Stay tuned for updates…
